We're a 75-year-old global mission doing hard things in hard places, and we're looking for a Major Gifts Officer to help make that possible.
You're someone who may have direct experience in non-profit faith-based development, who definitely has an instinct for intentional and respectful relationship building with people God has blessed with the resources to make his work possible, and who cares deeply that isolated and marginalized and unreached people around the world have life-changing access to the gospel.
Our Major Gifts Officer will:
be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of up to 150 current and prospective major donor relationships, nurture and grow financial partnerships that support JAARS' mission impact, collaborate closely with the President and other senior leaders to engage donors effectively, provide guidance and input on campaigns, events, messaging, and outreach to inspire financial partners to fulfill the Great Commission and Greatest Commandments through partnership with JAARS.

Our primary role is to close the gap that keeps language communities and people groups unreached so that they can hear, respond to, and be transformed by the Gospel in the language(s) they value most.
That gap is very often geographical, especially in the rainforests of the Southern Hemisphere, and we provide specialized aviation-, land-, and sea-based solutions and incredibly well-trained people to overcome these otherwise insurmountable barriers.
When Bible translators have access to these people groups, so do church planters, educators, medical professionals, economic development supporters, and more allowing us to love these neighbors as we love ourselves as well.
Requirements:
Deep personal commitment to spiritual growth and supporting others in their spiritual journey Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS Servant leader mindset with humility and expertise Familiarity with major gift development in a faith-based context Strong communication and relationship-building skills Goal-oriented with a bias for action and closure Ability to influence peers, operational functions, and leadership staff effectively
Qualifications:
Experience in non-profit or mission-based environments Cross-cultural experience College degree and 5-10
years in a related leadership role Location:
